Well, you now can learn from the National Candle Association (NCA).  NCA is a major trade association in the U.S.  This association was founded in 1974 and they are still going strong.  They are widely recognized as the leading technical authority on candles & candle manufacturing.  “Its member companies account for approximately 90 percent of candles made in the United States.”
Some of the big name candles that are made by NCA are; Bath & Body Works, Slatkin & CO. and a lot of the Yankee candles.  There are many, many more brand names but those are just three known companies.  They make all kinds of candles, such as; pillars, gel candles, tea-lights, birthday candles,  luminaria, taper, jar/container candles and votive.  They also offer décor ideas and fragrance trends.
Some of the other things the NCA offers are the science behind the actual candle.  They show the making of a candle, how to take care of it and the science behind the flame of the candle.  They also give fire safety tips for people and their homes; showing how to keep candles and be safe from fires.
The NCA shows the elements of a candle and the making of the wax, wicks, fragrance and colorants.  It explains each of the elements and what it does for the candle.  Showing the process of the candle making and the elements gives people a different kind of appreciation towards candles.
